Almost two weeks late - doesn't bode well for the year, does it? I find January an odd month - since the kids are off for basically all of it (school goes back Jan 30th this year), it's a bit shapeless - not that I'm complaining about that! I love the summer holidays....
I've been meaning to do a round up post for my sewing for 2012 - blogger seems to have other ideas, and has made it rather tricky to upload the appropriate pics - but I've managed to sort it, so here we go:

Lucy's sewing - most of my sewing was for L. I really love sewing for her - cute patterns and fabrics :-) - I must confess, however, that there is a great deal that she never wears :-(

Rosie's sewing - I didn't make as much for Rosie last year - she's at a tricky age. However, she does wear what I make for her - I do try hard to choose fabrics and patterns that she'll like.

Boy sewing - I did try very hard to sew more for the boys, and while this is not huge, it's much better than 2011! They always wear what I make, and really like it - so I will try hard to sew for them again this year.

And sewing for me - lots! That was another goal for the year, and I'd say it was successful.
There are some things that got missed in these pics - some gifts, & a few outfits for the girls (Lucy's After School top and pants being one notable one). Overall, my tally of items is about 85. My love of sewing shows no signs of abating - in fact, I'm enjoying it more and more, and am looking forward to this year's sewing...

so much sewing!! Very impressive. I also had problems with blogger - I think they are trying to fix it.
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope they fix it! It was tricky to upload these pics - and now I can see that the pic quality is dreadful...
DeleteThat is an impressive tally for 2012!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your creations for this year. You have such a good eye for fabric and pattern choices.
Happy (sewing) New Year Justine!
I think you had a very well balanced year of sewing in 2012. I can't wait to see what you create in 2013!

Oddly enough when you click on the photos to see them bigger, the quality is better. What a great year of sewing and I'm glad your boys really appreciate what you make! I made my Charlie a top out of that Nessie spoonflower design in jersey, it looks so great in those shorts too! Which fabric is that printed on?
ReplyDeleteI reckon more sewing by you, for you in 2013 :)
Funny how the girls both have different colour palettes. Rosie seems to be the blue girl!
ReplyDeleteWishing you happy sewing for 2013, looking forward to you sharing your wonderful clothing with us all!
